Pictures of Katy's new Dad

Katy's dad just shaved off a 32 year old beard. Needless to say, his daughters hardly recognized him.

Friends

The guys in monkey suits here are some good friends - there is JR, Ricky, Patrick, Corey, Brad, Rex, and Chris (Katy's bro). They were all gracious enough to come out to Cali to see me get hitched. Ricky and Patrick I've known all my life - that happens when you are brothers. Corey, Brad, and Rex have been good friends since college (Go Angelo State) and met each other through the Baptist Student Ministries (BSM). Corey and I were roomates our Junior and Senior years there. JR and I became friends while I was going to Grad school at UNT, and he is the roomate I had just before I went and got married.
On our cross country trip back to Texas we stopped off to see some friends (left) Tyson and Christi Edwards in Las Vegas (they have since added a member to thier family). We did not see anyone from CSI. We also stopped off in Santa Fe to see my good friends DG and Tiffany Hollums (right). This was the first time Katy had a chance to meet some of them. I don't quite know what she thought of DG.

JR came out to the Anderson family farm with Katy and I about 6 months after Katy and I were married. He showed off his bassin skills and caught a nice bass. (below)

Me and my tomatoes

Me and my tomatoes. Boy, there is nothin better than home grown tomatoes. My brother Ricky hauled in some soil from the Anderson family farm in Stonewall County. My Father had some old cotton burrs that had decomposed and he mixed them in with some regular soil and loaded the soil onto Ricky's truck and Ricky brought them. I wish I had a picture of the contraption. Anyway, Ricky and I built some raised bed frames and filled them with the soil. We left some big tire tracks in the yard, but you can't really see them now. As you can see my tomates have taken off. We are just now starting to harvest the big ones. I have had to put a net over the tomatoes because of mockingbirds. (the photo does not show the portion of the tomatoe that had the "bird tax" taken out)Posted by Hello

This is a picture of Katy (center) and me (top center) with both of our parents. Katy's parents Wilna and Chris are to the left, and my parents, Jimmy and Theresa, are to the right. This picture was taken following our Aspermont shower. Posted by Hello

Family

Buddy (that is our unisex name for our unborn child) will be the product of very diverse backgrounds. Katy grew up in Sunnyvale- a suburb between San Jose and San Francisco, CA. I grew up in West Texas in a little town called Aspermont (Aspermont has a population of less than 1,000). We hope that Buddy will have the oportunity to explore both worlds and try to learn from the best of both.

Over the next few months this blog may become baby central. Here is a look at the little guy or girl that we got through a three D imaging device. Looks pretty cool. I call it "The Boxer". Posted by Hello

First One

Well, this is our first post. Katy and I are so excited to find out what flavor our new baby is going to be, but more curious to know who our little "buddy" will grow up to be, and what kind of job we are going to do in raising him/her.

Well this is a little teaser, just to figure out if this thing is going to work, so here goes!
