Halloween
So, it was an interesting evening...because it was my birthday, I didn't want to cook. We had pizzas delivered, but unfortunately we had lots of problems and they showed up 3.5 hours late (at 9:30). They ended up being free, so that helped, but definitely changed the flavor of the evening and kept us from putting B down at a reasonable hour.
The first trick-or-treaters came to the door about 5:30. Brayden ran away screaming and crying. He was scared, and he didn't understand why I was giving away all the candy. The rest of the evening followed suit. Anyone in a scary costume or with a scary house freaked Brayden out. As we walked up to each door, he said "hurt" (meaning "scared"). He wanted the candy, just not the frights.
It was really hard to ration the candy as well, G and I had to distract Brayden so we could remove candy because he wanted to eat it all! I guess he'll be more into it next year!
Brayden did love his costume (which he picked out when we were at Target), so he ran around in it all evening. I think that was the highlight of the night!
