DTS
"Tell Katy i am interested.....I have heard that you can not attend DTS unless you tell them if you are mid-Trib, post-tribe, etc.... I was wondering what she put and why? "
No such thing...at DTS, you have to sign a statement that holds to 7 core essentials of the Christian faith (Bible is inspired word, etc). A student can hold any view on a lot of various areas including these, the HS, spiritual gifts, etc. The faculty, on the other hand, must sign off on the entire doctrinal statement yearly. At graduation, the 7 essentials are reassessed.
DTS gets a lot of flack for being dispensational--and I know many reformed folks that want to have no part with it. What I found at DTS was a variety of viewpoints backed up by scripture. I loved that I knew the position DTS taught and could make my assessments based on that knowledge. In addition, we read a lot of works by scholars that hold to other views. My education was enriched by all of the books and discussions from the various view points.

I'm curious, what do they allow you to think about the Holy Spirit? You said you can think anything and I'm just wondering if you can explain that a little more
love,
Tiff
These are the 7 areas that we have to sign off on:
the authority and inerrancy of Scripture
the Trinity
Christ's full deity and humanity
the spiritual lostness of the human race
Christ's substitutionary atonement and bodily resurrection
salvation by faith alone in Christ alone
the physical return of Christ.
There is no mention of the HS. They teach security of the believer.
Thats cool....thanks for clearing some stuff up there, heh.
funny thing is I have a RSS reader on my Google home page and it only shows the title of the blog posts...and I got VERY excited, because I thought you were going to talk about Digital Teater Sound, heh ha ha ha...leave it to the Homt Theater freak to think in sound first and theology second, ha ha
